Shabby Shutter Display

I recently bought these shutters at an estate sale...

...and wanted to give them a serious shabby look.

So I brought out my little DeWalt and got to work!

They fit perfect on a long wall in my hallway.

I used E6000 to attach sawtooth hangers (bought from Walmart) to each of the light weight shutters. This way when we move, I can display them the same or differently.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I'm so happy you did!

  2. Love shabby! Love chunky, white house pieces! Love estate sales!
I just saw a bunch of old shutters at a junk store, now I wish I had bought some.
You could display seasonal stuff, like banners, or cards, etc. or pics and pretty pieces!
    So cool!

  3. Super cute! My question is, where did you hang them? Behind a couch? In the living room? Dining room? Just wondering where you'd be able to make such a cool and unique piece integrate into a room. (In case I ever stumble upon some at an estate sale too...)

    1. Hi, Sarah. Thank you so much! I put these in my hallway on a long wall that needed something big, but they would look great behind a couch as well or in a dining room.
