Kimberly's Home Tour: The Kitchen

Hi, Bloggerettes and Friends of Bella Nest! Yesterday turned out to be quite an exciting day when our friends Ben and Kimberly invited us over for dessert after we all took a trip to a neighboring town for some Mexican food.  I'd been begging asking Kimberly to let me take pictures of her beautiful home and yesterday she finally gave me the okay! Before I knew it, we were fluffing pillows and adjusting lights for the photo shoot.
Kimberly's kitchen is unique in that every detail from the ground up was either built or placed there by her husband Ben. There's no telling how many hours he's spent building their entire home, including some of their lovely furniture. Ben builds and Kimberly paints. They make a great team!
Kimberly's cabinets are painted in Laura Ashley's Barrel.
Her cast iron sink with drain board is an original stamped 1950.

The wrought iron and wood cabinet doors were wall decor Kimberly purchased from Hobby Lobby that Ben cut to fit. All of her cabinet hardware came from there as well.
I just love her basket of antique wooden utensils!
...and her coffee corner with chalkboard!
This hutch holds her collection of antique enamelware and red and white transferware.

Thank you to my wonderfully, creative friend for letting me invade your home with my camera!

Stay tuned for more of Kimberly's beautiful home tour later this week!

Hugs,

    1. Hi, Bliss! We don't even know if it has a name, but she melted chocolate chips, brown sugar and butter and drizzled the mix over saltine crackers and baked them. It was delicious!

  3. How awesome!! We've told the sink story so many times, her dad (Danny) was working one day and spotted that old sink like 15 years ago, and wanted it for the back yard to clean fish in.LOL Who knew where it would end up and how beautiful it would look refinished. We are so proud of Ben and Kim and their beautiful home.
